Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education and Recreation, in partnership with the Town of Los Gatos, provides a comprehensive Senior Services program available to all Los Gatos residents age 55 and over.  The Senior Services Program is housed in the Los Gatos Adult Recreation Center, located at 208 East Main Street.

WEDNESDAY’S ALWAYS A BIG DAY!

           

The 55+ Wednesday Program, which meets every Wednesday from 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM in the Los Gatos Adult Recreation Center- Large Hall (208 E. Main Street), provides a friendly social atmosphere.  Participants can take part in table games and at 11:30 AM, enjoy entertainment or listen to talks about issues of concern. At Noon lunch is served (a $2.50 donation for lunch is recommended).

Membership is $15 a year, payable upon joining and each January thereafter. A suggested donation of $1 or more from the Wednesday game participants helps fund program supplies.

The 55+ Program is sponsored by Los Gatos-Saratoga High School District’s Adult Education Division and LGS Recreation. There are no residency requirements for the Adult Education programs.

Crafter’s Circle for Knitters, Crocheters and Needlepointers

Join with other hand crafters in a supportive environment. 

Dances for 55+

Quarterly in the Large Hall from 6:30 – 8:30 PM

55+ TRIPS – Travel with Friends!!

Collette Vacations offers the Los Gatos- Saratoga community an opportunity to travel with friends and neighbors.  55+ Program members who have traveled with Collette Vacation have consistently given them high ratings for excellent service and attention to detail.  Past trips have included the Colorado Rockies, Copper canyon, Heritage of America, South America, a cruise down the Yangtze River in China and trip to Branson, Missouri for a musical holiday, just to name a few.

Live Oak Senior Nutrition and Service Center

Wednesday’s at the Los Gatos Adult Recreation Center - Large Hall come and socialize at 11:00 AM and have a great meal with friends at 12:00 PM.  A $2.50 donation is recommended.  There is a choice of salads, sandwiches or hot entrée daily. Transportation is available for the local Los Gatos area.

Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Los Gatos Methodist Church, 111 Church Street, next to Los Gatos High School.  Hot nutritionally balanced meals are served to adults over 60 in a relaxed, supportive environment. Also, join them for Bingo, free entertainment and educational programs.
