The Los Gatos Children's Christmas/Holidays Parade is a great family event that captures the warmth of the holiday season each year with festive entries, musical wonders and plenty of cheer. Don't miss it!
ENTRY DEADLINE: Monday, October 17, 2011 by 4:00 P.M.
Entries received after the deadline will be put on a waiting list and accommodated only if there is a cancellation.

Join the LGS Recreation Entry!
In addition to being a cosponsor, LGS Recreation also has an entry in the parade and we invite any child who wishes to dress in costume and march in the parade to join us!

ENTRY NUMBER INFORMATION! Your assigned position entry number and additional important parade day information will be mailed to your entry's contact person Thanksgiving Week. Please do not call for your entry number unless you have not received it by November 28, 2011. You will pick up your Official Entry Number the day of the parade at the entry number booths in the staging area.
Each entry must have a Christmas or Holiday theme to be able to participate in the parade. Have your participants dress up! Decorate your vehicles! However, only the OFFICIAL PARADE SANTA will be permitted in the parade. PLEASE DO NOT dress anyone in your entry as Santa. (Santa hats are fine, just no fully outfitted Santas!)
Parade begins at the corner of Almendra Ave. and North Santa Cruz Ave., proceeding south along Santa Cruz Ave. to Main St., east on Main Street, ending at Church St.
There is NO PARKING in the staging area or along the parade route. (See Parade Map) Many streets around the parade area will be closed to traffic on parade day from very early morning until approximately 3:00 P.M. Please plan your parking accordingly. Exact street closings will be included in the Entry Notice Information mailed to each entry the week of Thanksgiving.
Parade begins promptly at 11:00 A.M. (Late arrivals will be placed at the end of the parade.) Large vehicles (trucks, vans, and floats) must be in place in the staging area by 7:30 A.M. All other entries except large vehicles and dignitaries must be in place in the staging area by 9:00 A.M. Dignitaries and persons providing cars for dignitaries must be in place in the staging area by 9:30 A.M. REMEMBER: most access streets will be closed by 9:00 A.M., if not earlier, on parade day!
The Awards Ceremony for Bands & Equestrian Entries will be held right after the parade on the front lawn of Los Gatos High School. 1st and 2nd place awards for each category will be presented. Please join us! Award winners will also be published in the Los Gatos Weekly Times in Wednesday, December 14th's edition. Awards not claimed during the awards ceremony may be picked up from LGS Recreation by December 21st.

Do you know someone who has been actively involved with the youth in the Los Gatos community you think is deserving of special recognition? If so, have you considered nominating them for Grand Marshal of the Los Gatos Children’s Christmas/Holidays Parade? This would be a great way of showing community appreciation for their efforts with the youth of our community. The Grand Marshal must be available to ride in the
parade on December 3, 2011. To submit a nomination, Download the Nomination Form from above. Completed nomination forms may be emailed to: michelle@lgsrecreation.org or mailed to: Los Gatos Parade Committee, Attention: Michelle Varno, 123 E. Main St., Los Gatos, CA 95030. Deadline for submitting nomination forms is 4:00 P.M. on November 1, 2011.
