Enrichment Summer School

The Enrichment Summer School program in Los Gatos and Saratoga is administered by LGS Recreation in partnership with the Los Gatos and Saratoga Union School Districts. The four week program incorporates a project-based learning approach and provides a summer filled with engaging academic, enrichment and recreational activities for students entering K – 8th grade.

2016 Enrichment Summer School General Information

PROGRAM DATES: June 13th – July 8th (No program July 4th)

A Welcome Packet containing classroom assignments, program rules, emergency card and campus map will be emailed and made available online, www.lgsrecreation.org , on June 3rd.

ON SITE REGISTRATION: Available Monday June 13th at school site. Offices open at 8am.

ENRICHMENT SUMMER SCHOOL CLASS TRANSFERS: There is a $15 transfer fee per course after registration has been submitted. Pending space, transfers can be made on-site in the Enrichment Summer School Office starting Wednesday, June 15th at 8:00am.

REFUND REQUEST: Cancellations will be accepted up to June 1st at 5:00pm. No refunds will be issued after this date, NO EXCEPTIONS.

LGS Recreation does not offer a daily rate, pro-rating, or a sibling discount for this program

Before School Care and Afternoon Day Camp

BEFORE SCHOOL CARE:
K-5TH: This program offers students an opportunity to socialize and participate in low impact activities while making new friends within a supervised environment. It also allows parents/guardians the opportunity to beat traffic and drop their child off early on-site before Enrichment Summer School. No Before School Care on 7/4.

HANG HOURS 6TH – 8TH: Hang Hours are extended hours before Enrichment Summer School begins. This program gives students an opportunity to hang out with friends and enjoy some free time on site in a safe and supervised environment. No Hang Hours on 7/4.

AFTERNOON DAY CAMP:

WEEKLY CALENDAR: A schedule of each week’s activities will be available each Monday at camp.

CAMP T-SHIRT: A camp t-shirt is required for all Afternoon Day Camp participants. T-shirts can be purchased online at time of registration or on-site the first week of the program for $12. If you purchase a shirt online, please print out your receipt and bring it with you on the first day of camp to receive your shirt.

LUNCH & SNACKS: A bag lunch and snacks should be brought each day to camp unless the weekly calendar states otherwise. One afternoon snack will be provided to all participants.

LATE PICK UP FEE: $20 for every 15 minutes (or portion thereof) after 6:00 PM, payable at pick-up time by check or VISA/MASTERCARD.

K-8 AFTERNOON DAY CAMP: Once the bell rings the fun doesn’t have to stop! This four-week day camp program is held on the Enrichment Summer School campus. The camp features: arts & crafts, healthy cooking projects, sports & games, swimming (when available), special guest visitors, and a field trip! Program fee includes afternoon snack, field trip admission, transportation and swimming (if available). No Afternoon Day Camp on 7/4.

K -1ST AFTERNOON CAMP PROGRAM RATIO: 1 to 10 on campus and 1 to 8 on field trips.
2ND-3RD AFTERNOON DAY CAMP PROGRAM RATIO: 1 to 14 on campus and 1 to 10 on field trips.
4TH-5TH AFTERNOON DAY CAMP PROGRAM RATIO: 1 to 14 on campus and 1 to 10 on field trips.
6TH-8TH SUMMER SPOT PROGRAM RATIO: 1 to 16 on campus and 1 to 12 on field trips.
