Day Camp Supervisor
Under the general supervision of the Site Supervisor II, the Site Supervisor I is responsible for the budget management and business operations of the childcare center and directs activities at assigned site/s. Responsible for following agency policies, procedures and all applicable laws to ensure compliance within the program.
This position may extend to the 2026-27 school year as a Site Supervisor 1 position M0nday through Fridays from noon to 6:00pm with a pay range of $30.93-$47.99/hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Provides positive leadership, and coaching/mentoring to site staff
- Works collaboratively with staff, participants, and parents
- Plans daily activities for day camp participants
- Directs the work of the Senior Day Camp Leader and Summer Day Camp Leader
- Maintains accurate attendance records for each participant enrolled in the day camp
- Confers with Site Supervisor II and staff regarding child's behavioral problems, and recommends methods of modifying inappropriate behavior
- Maintains a clean, safe, healthy, and orderly environment including indoor and outdoor areas
- Follows health and safety standards for food handling, hand washing, and universal precautions with exposure to blood
- Possesses knowledge of Emergency Disaster Plan
- Arranges medical attention for ill or injured children in accordance with parent's instructions
- Notifies supervisor of facility maintenance needs
- Monitors and approves staff timecards
- Plans, preps and shops for supplies as needed
- Other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises Senior Day Camp Leaders and Day Camp Leaders I & II.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience
College Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in recreation, child development or a related field; or two years related management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as, speak effectively before groups of participants, parents and/or employees within the organization.

Reasoning Ability
Must have the ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Mathematical Skills
Must have budgeting knowledge ability to read, create and monitor budgets. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.

Keyboard Skills
Solid experience working with Microsoft Windows 7/8 and Office 10 which includes word outlook, processing, spreadsheets and database programs.

Other Skills and Abilities
Must be customer service oriented, accurate, self-motivated, and be able to use time efficiently.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Fingerprint & TB Clearance are required prior to start date
Class C California Driver’s License
Mandatory Safety Training (within 4 weeks of hire)
CPR/First Aid Certification (within 6 weeks of hire)

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The noise level in the clubhouse environment may is often noisy with very dynamic movement.
