Site Supervisor 1
Under the general supervision of the Site Supervisor II, the Site Supervisor I is responsible for the budget management and business operations of the childcare center and directs activities at assigned site/s. Responsible for following agency policies, procedures and all applicable laws to ensure compliance within the program.

Work Year : August 12, 2024 through June 6, 2025• 10 months/197 days (includes 12 paid holidays)
Schedule: M, T, TH, & F: 1:00PM TO 6:00PM. W 11:30AM TO 6:00PM
Salary : from $28.50 to $38.19/hour (May increase effective 08.12.2024)
(Salary placement is based on years of experience in like position.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Plans daily activities for program participants
- Schedules and directs the work of the Recreation Leader/s and Senior Recreation Leader/s
- Maintains accurate attendance records for each participant enrolled in the program
- Confers with parents regarding program activities, policies and enrollment procedures
- Confers with Site Supervisor II, School Services Manager and daycare staff regarding child's behavioral problems, and recommends methods of modifying inappropriate behavior
- Reviews and evaluates facility activities to ensure conformance to policies and core values
- Plans and purchases nutritional snacks
- Arranges medical attention for ill or injured children in accordance with parent's instructions
- Prepares and submits facility budget
- Assesses the facility maintenance needs and work with the Site Supervisor II
- Monitors and approves staff timecards
- Completes performance evaluations for all classified staff in accordance to agency procedures
- Participates in Recreation Division community events
- Collects and updates children's emergency forms
- Recommends staff hiring and termination
- Prepares quarterly newsletters for parents
- Meets regularly with Site Supervisor II
- Submits monthly planning calendars to Site Supervisor II
- Possesses knowledge of Emergency Disaster Plan
- Plans, preps and shops for supplies as needed
- Other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises Senior Recreation Leaders, Recreation Leaders I & II.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience
College Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in recreation, child development or a related field; or two years related management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as, speak effectively before groups of participants, parents and/or employees within the organization.
Reasoning Ability
Must have the ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills
Must have budgeting knowledge ability to read, create and monitor budgets. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
Keyboard Skills
Solid experience working with Microsoft Windows 7/8 and Office 10 which includes word outlook, processing, spreadsheets and database programs.
Other Skills and Abilities
Must be customer service oriented, accurate, self-motivated, and be able to use time efficiently.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Fingerprint & TB Clearance are required prior to start date
Class C California Driver’s License
Mandatory Safety Training (within 4 weeks of hire)
CPR/First Aid Certification (within 6 weeks of hire)

- The noise level in the clubhouse environment may is often noisy with very dynamic movement.
